Commodity Trend: MCX Gold & Silver Tips

In MCX Gold, A drift lower is favored towards 28850, but is unlikely to evolve into major weakness unless confirmed with successive days of close  below 28750. A push higher above 29300 would dilute intraday
bearish sentiments but is required to close above 29500 to trigger rallies.

In Silver MCX , While above 55200 prices continues to be inside the bullish zone.  For the day, we expect an initial dips followed by  a consolidation  and edge higher. However, prices have to clear above 56000 to  invite strong rallies again. Dip lower below 54000 would be an early signal of reversal.

Commodity Tips By Experts

Shreekant Jha, Managing Director at PJ Commodity Ventures feels that crude has started coming down and it is very close to the levels we were talking about which is Rs 5,000 per barrel. So he suggests hanging on to the short positions and perhaps book profits around Rs 5,000 per barrel levels. He says, “It is weak and the break of Rs 5,000 per barrel should see a fresh move on the downside.”
For intraday trade, Reena Walia, Senior Research Analyst - International Commodities at Angel Broking expects lead prices to come under pressure. She recommends selling the MCX lead May contract around Rs 108 per kilogram levels. “A stop loss can be applied around Rs 109 per kilogram and on the downside we are targeting Rs 106.50 per kilogram for today’s trade” she adds.
Dipen Shah, Business Head of Stayvan.com thinks that silver prices are consolidating at these levels and he sees a huge upside on the prices once USD 29 is crossed on COMEX. Similarly, he believes on MCX also Rs 54,000 per kilogram is acting as good support for silver prices and any dips near Rs 54,400 per kilogram should be used for buying with a stop loss of Rs 54,200 per kilogram for a target of Rs 54,800 per kilogram.
Ashish Kyal, Head of research at Commtrendz reckons that sharp rise in US dollar against basket of currencies over past one month is bearish for base metals. So he advocates selling copper on rallies to Rs 428 per kilogram with a stop loss of Rs 431 per kilogram and a target of around Rs 423 per kilogram.

Commodity Tips: Silver Weekly Recommendation

Silver is in Consolidated form so a best strategy to gain in intraday is sell on higher levels. In this week if Silver manages to sustain below 62500 and do not break the upside level of 64500 then it can test 60500-59500 level.
But if Silver breaks 64500 mark then above 65000 it may touch 66000-67500 level.
Traders can take their positions accordingly.

MCX Commodity Updates- Silver at 6 weeks Low

In International markets, Silver future prices climbed on Wednesday on technical buying and short covering by investors and speculators.

In last trade, Silver future traded at 27.63 USD per ounce. Silver future has fallen more than 10 percent from beginning of the year 2011. Presently, Silver future prices are trading at 8 weeks low on weak physical demand.

Silver future expected to fall further till 25 USD levels. Silver future prices are likely to fall further and may test 23 in coming weeks if a price sustains below 27 USD.

At MCX counter, Silver future prices settled at 42200 rupees per kilogram higher which is up by more than one percent from previous close of 41747 tracking strong buying sentiment in international market. Silver future opened slightly higher at 41850 compared to previous day's close of 41747 rupees.

Instant Support for Silver looks at 40600 and 39410 rupees. While crucial resistance seems to be at 44000. Silver prices may fall further to test immediate support levels if prices failed to sustain resistance levels in near term, maintained Amrita Mashar, commodity analyst with Commodity Online.

Movement in Dollar Index and fell in ETF holding are playing key role to put pressure on silver prices these days.

Overall trend seems to be extremely bearish for Silver future in coming weeks. Short term bearishness will continue because of weak physical demand in global market and improved economic condition from US and Euro zone.

MCX Gold Tips For Indian Commodity

Gold hit a record high on Monday and silver jumped to a 30-year peak on dollar weakness, and lingering concerns over the global economic outlook. Gold hit $1,300 an ounce, its highest ever level, while silver rose to its highest since 1980 at $21.61 an ounce, attracting interest as a cheaper alternative to bullion. "Gold and silver are doing well as people are worried about the dollar weakening further. As quantitative easing happens it debases currencies so more money shifts into gold as a currency which an individual government can't influence," said William Adams, analyst at BaseMetals.com. The dollar edged up from five-month lows versus the euro on Monday after falling sharply last week on stronger than expected data in Europe and speculation the Fed may yet turn to more quantitative easing to support the economy
